New install of sketchup most models have weird white lines around them but not all

I just got a new computer through work and installed sketchup, opened the files I had just been working on on my previous computer, and for some reason some of the files open up with all of the lines that were black, being white. This creates a weird visual effect as you can see in the pictures here around the chairs. The picture shows a file that has the weird white outer lines, but not all lines, like the square on the grounds is still black. I tried uploading two pictures but it wouldn’t let me, so I’m going to try putting a picture of a file that opened normally in the comments for the comparison. Both files were made from the same template on the same computer.

I’m not great at navigating Sketchup settings, and I’m sure it’s a quick fix, I just can’t seem to find how how to fix it. I’d also like to know what caused it if anyone has any insight or advice so I can keep it from happening again.

Here is the picture of the file that opened totally normally.

Have you perhaps turned on color by tag for edges? I think the default color for an untagged edge was white in some version, instead of black.

How would I check that? I have never used the tagging funcitons

Here are screenshots of the two tag windows compared.

Open the active style for edit and see how edge coloring is set on the edge panel.

Perfect! The “default” style box wasn’t selected in the one with the white outlines. That did the trick. Thank you! That was making me crazy.
