Dark gray areas showing up on faces in layout?

After updating to the latest version of sketchup I noticed on of my files I have been working in layout all of a sudden has several spots where faces are gray like they are in a section cut, but they are not. Before the update these faces were white. I have tried erasing the faces and making them new again in my model and making sure nothing is sticking into the faces and then updating model info in layout but to no avail. Everything looks fine in sketchup but then shows up grey in layout. Any help would be appreciated this is a really annoying problem! Thanks

Share the LayOut file so we can see what you are working with.

Please complete your forum profile with SketchUp version, operating system version, and graphics card model number.

Hey Dave, thanks for the reply. Unfortunately I can’t post the file here but here is a picture. I was messing around with the file a bit in layout and found that if I turned off the tag for the walls the floor suddenly turns white, but then if I turn the walls tag back on it goes gray again. I then went into sketchup to check if the walls were all ok, which they are and they aren’t inside the floor or anything, tried exploding and regrouping them and nothing seemed to work. Any ideas what the problem might be? The weird thing is that before I updated to 23.1 this wasn’t happening in this file.

Im using windows 11 with a AMD Ryzen 9 5900HX with 32gb ram and a Nvidia geforce rtx 3070

Pretty much a guessing game without seeing the LayOut file. First guess is incorrect tag usage with edges and faces tagged.

You could send the file to me privately if you want. Otherwise there’s really not much I can do.

Thanks for the reply Dave. I checked all the edges and faces in both the floor and walls and everything seemed ok. In general what tend to be the reasons for this sort of glitch in Layout?
