Need SketchUp 2023 and 2025 working on my computer - At the same time!

I have an older [render app], that I’m VERY comfortable with, that will only work on SU2023. So why can’t I have 2023 and 2025 working on the same computer? It’s says that I have too many installs. After about 20+ minutes I finally got SU2023 working. Now I want to get back to SU2025. Spent over 35 minutes and can’t figure it out. Totally Frustrated! I have been with SU for over 6 years. I pay for all my updates, etc. I’m 70 years old. So all this log out/log in/log out - sad! Please can we have at least the two totally legal versions working, on my M3 MBP. >>> PhotoShop, ProTools, etc. All are able to have both versions running on my laptop.

You should be able to have two instances working. Do you have any other machines with installations on them?

I assume you did the deauthorize all?

All versions of SketchUp from 2019 onwards may be taking up a sign in. If you have any versions other than 2023 and 2025, you could open them and make sure to sign out. Then both 2023 and 2025 should allow an activation.

You could also do the deauthorize all, but if you ever open an older version by accident, it will attempt to sign in, and steal a slot away from the versions you want to run.

Could you please help me too..? I have Sketchup Pro Annual license, every year since 2022, and on my computer I have versions 2022, 2023, 2024 and now- 2025. You can imagine my frustration.. as both me and my husband work in turns, and have our own Projects in various versions.
So now, I want to get rid of all other versions except the 2025.
Can I DEAUTHORISE ALL , log in to 2025 only, and delete permanently all previous versions? and be sure that all our previous projects will be able to open and even work on them still? ?
I know it should work.., duh.., but I feel like a total loser signing in and out only to realize it doesn’t work like i need it to work..

Please let me know if this is the correct way, or what to do instead.

Thanks:)

yes, off course. when you install sketchup, you install an empty shell. it only activates (fro 28 days) when you log in.

you can deuathorise all, and you can also uninstall the old version you don’t need, those are two separate things. and at any time you can reinstall an older version you need. right now on my machine I have a 2024 version I haven’t launched for a couple of month. it’s here, I’m simply not connected.

yep, every version since 2021 uses the same version of file. so you can open 2021 files in 2025 (off course) but also 2025 files in 2022 and so on.
