Great! Here is our website. We are Pre K-12th grade. https://www.visitation.net
Thanks.
Thanks @rbaca! I should have you added to the database by the time this post is live so feel free to deploy the app as soon as you see this. Just make sure not to skip any steps as you deploy the app as that can cause issues later on that may be similar to what you are currently seeing.
Thanks!
Please add @hcsmail.org to the list of whitelisted domains.
Thanks!
Hi @arobertshcs thanks for the post! I am happy to get you added to the database of approved domains but first Iāll need to get a few things from you.
First up I need your domain and thanks to your previous post I already have that. The second item I need is a link to a website for your school or district if you have one. Then the last item I need from you is verification that you are a k-12 school.
Once I have those things I am all set and can get you added to our database.
We are a K-12 school in New Berlin, WI.
Hi Can you please whitelist our domain thekaustschool.org? Students get sign-in loop
This is our school https://tks.kaust.edu.sa/
Hi @arobertshcs and @artsSA. Thanks for the posts! Iāll do my best to address both of you in a single post here.
Both of you have linked me everything you need to link. I have now added both of you to the database of approved domains so you shouldnāt have any additional trouble from our firewall. Just make sure you donāt skip any steps as you deploy the app as that can cause issues later on that are identical to what you are currently seeing.
If you are still seeing a sign in loop or are seeing the āAre you in the right place?ā error as of this post, try re-deploying the app and make sure not to skip any steps. Also clear any cached files and cookies to make sure that everything is from the latest deployment. Hopefully that will get you up and running. If it does not work, let me know and Iāll see what I can do to help you get up and running as soon as I can!
Just in case you need the deployment steps outlined, I have linked the videos in this post below:
Casey,
Thanks for your help getting our students into Sketchup! Now that they are in they would like to use the sandbox tools to create a surface area map of a Zoo. How do we enable those sandbox tools?
Ah, great question @rbaca. It sounds like quite an ambitious project!
The sandbox tools are technically an extension as they require the ruby library to work so unfortunately as far as I am aware, they are not included in the web version at the moment. I keep pushing for extensions to be added or at the very least, the sandbox tools to be ported over but such a request has considerable development requirements.
While you would not have access to the toolset, I am able to generate a basic grid and/or some terrain for you in the full version and post it for you to download for your class if that would help at all. Just let me know what you are looking for and I can throw something together for you no problem.
That is an interesting proposal. Would the terrain be customizable or static? The issue is that they cannot create organic land masses themselves and they would like to alter it as they change ideas.
It would be editable, but without the sandbox tools, editing it would be somewhat of a pain. Theoretically it can be done with the move tool, but moving individual points is tedious.
Interesting. I will talk to the girls and see what they want to do.
Is there a way I can message you directly so that it does not appear on the forum? My students and I want to continue this communication but prefer it be offline.
Thanks!
I hope Casey is ok with me saying thisā¦
Click his C avatar, and then click on the Message option. That then becomes a chat with only you and Casey.
Thanks for helping. When I click on the C avatar there is no message option.
@rbaca That is probably because you are to new on the forum. There are some restrictions for new users to make it more difficult for bots to do harm.
When @colin sees your last message I believe he can speed up your forum accesā¦
Thanks!
I did some speeding up, see if you can message now.
Thanks a bunch Colin! I appreciate your help as always. Hopefully we can get rbaca up and running soon!
