Need Domain Whitelisted - Sketchup Not Loading

We’re having issues getting SketchUp to load properly on our Chromebooks. I’ve done everything on our end and it’s still not loading. I saw similar posts about domains needing to be whitelisted in order for it to work now on Sketchup’s end after an update. Third Party apps and pop-ups are already enabled, and I already confirmed the URLS are added to our filtering and GAC. A profile clear fixed the issue temporarily. Can cdschools.org and students.cdschools.org be added to the allowed domains to bring functionality back?

Hi @bnye, thanks for the post and sorry to hear that you. are having trouble with SketchUp for Schools. I am happy to get you added to the database of approved domains. As you included a link to your website I was able to verify you are a k-12 school and was able to add you a few minutes ago.

By the time this post is live you will be all set to deploy the app if you have not already done so. Just make sure not to skip any steps as you deploy the app as that can cause issues later on. If you need help deploying the app, let me know and I can link you a video guide.

If things are still not working, please use the @ command to get my attention and we can start troubleshooting right away.

Can you add nv.ccsd.net

Hi @duncab, While I am happy to work with you to get you added to our database I need a little more than just a domain that you want me to add. Specifically, I need to know if you are a k-12 school or higher education. I also would love a link to your school or district website so I can get some additional optional info from it.

Anyway please let me know what i need and we can get you added to the database shortly.

Hi @CaseyG The district website is ccsd.net. It is a k-12 school district.

Thanks for the prompt reply @duncab. I’ll get you added right now. By the time you see this post, you will be all set to deploy the app if you have not already done so. Just make sure that you don’t skip any steps as you deploy the app as that will cause issues later on. Additionally please make sure that you enable third party cookies for our site and allow popups as both of those are required for the login process to resolve correctly. Finally, if you are using Google to deploy the app, please make sure that you deploy the app via a super admin as regular admin accounts won’t work.

Hi @CaseyG They can get in but when they try to create a new project it just spins. If they open an existing project it works fine.

Hi @duncab, thanks for the post. I can’t say that I have seen that one before.I’ll go ahead and ping Tori and see if she has any idea what might be causing this. Fair warning though, some of the team that normally handles this sort of thing are traveling today so it may be a little longer than normal for me to get an answer. Hopefully we can find something and get you up and running again quickly.

@duncab Are your students looking to create a new project from scratch, or were they trying to load one of our included lessons? We released a fix this morning that may have addressed your issue, so if you have a chance to try it out again please let us know if it’s persisting.
