My SketchUp 2025 constantly crashes with a BugSplat error whenever I add or edit lights, import pre-downloaded objects, or change color settings.
I’m using an NVIDIA RTX 4070 and have already set it to prioritize performance for SketchUp, but the crashes still persist. What should I do?
in what ? enscape ? vray ? d5 ?
edit : you could also share your file so someone using the same renderer as you can try on their end. see if it’s hardware or software related.
Enscape, but even I didn’t use Enscape, only editing the objects, lights, material.. it will crash

Crash #75410
Crash #75524
It seems to be a known issue caused by Enscape. Have you checked with Enscape if they already have released a fixed version?
I didnt use yet the Enscape software.. just Sketchup Only..
but… there are no lights in sketchup. so they can’t crash.
I made adjustments to all the lights, materials, changed colors, applied color to the objects, and so on… then it crashed.

Have you installed enscape already?
You have a lot of inverted normals, those blue faces should be reversed, only white faces should be seen on the monochrome style, reversed faces will be shown as black faces with some rendering engines despite of the material you have applied to them, I activated the quad analysis on the overlays to show loose geometry, you have some elements that should be grouped.
I purged it with CleanUp3 and it shows some unused stuff.
This is what I get with V-Ray and Enscape, I just adjusted some light settings on V-Ray cause it was all dark
V-Ray
Enscape
I had no issues exploding some object of the model by the way, probably one of the deleted objects from the purge were the ones causing those crashes.
They released Enscape 4.7.0 Preview 1, I just installed it.
I just purge by CleanUp3 but still Crashed and save but.. so annoying still got crashed..
Copy everything and paste on a new file
ok I will try
It’s working fine now. Here’s what I did: I grouped all the instances together, grouped the main object, and hid it. Then, I deleted any redundant objects, lines, and unnecessary items that were hidden.
After that, I unhid everything, ran CleanUp3, and purged all. Then, I copied everything and pasted it into the new template.
Finally, I ran CleanUp3 again and purged, just to make sure everything was clean and error-free.
It’s all good now and no crashes. Thanks a lot for the help!
