Yesterday, after using SU Make 2014 for several hours, my protractor quit producing radial arrays of guides.
Here is my method…the one I have always used:
Click to set center and drag to orient compass wheel (if needed)
Enter
Click and type in angle
Enter
Type in number and * (or number and x, or *number or xnumber)
Enter
The last "enter " results in an error (invalid angle dimension) next to the measurement box.

The divide function also fails with the same error.
When it first happened, the rotate tool was giving the same error.
I closed and reopened and SU. No Change.
I closed everything and restarted my computer. No Change.
I closed everything and went to bed.
This morning, the Rotate tool was once again functioning as it always has, but the protractor still will not extrapolate or interpolate angled guides. Remember, it still works for a single guide.
Honest! I did NOT step on the protractor and break it!
Are you trying to use the Protractor instead of the Rotate tool? To create a radial array of guidelines, you need to select a guideline, get the Rotate tool and rotate it. Then type the angle, hit enter, typ the number with *, x, or / as appropriate.
The yellow Protractor tool doesn’t make radial arrays of guidelines. It never has done.
Were you trying to use the Protractor tool last night when you were having problems with the cone? If I’d know that, we could have had you fixed up before you went to bed.
Dave, after reading your post, I had to go read up on the protractor. So, I guess I simply had a brain short circuit yesterday and picked up the wrong tool. That being said, last night for a while, I got the exact same error with the rotate tool. I am just confused right now, because I know yesterday I made one guidewith the protractor and then arrayed it…never changing tools. My memory tells me I have been doing it this way for a long time. Remember…we are talking about my memory—If you knew me well, you would know it has lied to me before.
