I have multiple components that require the same notation. Is there a way to have multiple arrows from the same label? If I repeat the notation for each occurrence, the sketch starts looking too “busy”.
The text tool creates only one leader per text, nothing you can do about that.
If you have one label plus leader, you can copy it to clipboard. Then use ‘Paste in Place’.
You’ll now have two identical text entities ontop of each other. You can try to drag one arrow tip towards the other component. It’s tricky to grab the arrow (used to be easier to do in earlier versions of SketchUp).
If the text flips to the opposite side, you can make it contain a space (seemingly empty). The other text entity still shows the desired text.
Thanks Wo3Dan. Not the answer I wanted to hear, but appreciate the reply.
Like @Wo3Dan says…[quote=“Wo3Dan, post:2, topic:27368”]

Multiple leader lines using ‘Paste in Place’ — SketchUp Sage Tutorial
Thanks for the help Wo3Dan and Geo, but is there some trick to grabbing JUST the arrow. I went to link you provided Geo and went through the process, but I cannot grab just the arrow. The arrow and text all are selected and it all moves. Am I missing something?
Use the Text tool to select the part of the [not preselected] text to change, do NOT use The Move tool…
With the Text tool active, click on the arrowhead and hold the button down, drag the arrowhead to the new location and release the button, the arrowhead will relocate… while the text itself will stay where it is…
Yes, as the Sage tutorial says, “it may take a few attempts to succeed”
Much of SU’s funtionality is view based.
When having difficulty trying to move the leader end with the Text tool I find it helps to orbit/zoom and retry from a different vantage point.
Just create a new leader and paste this unicode character in the text, ] [, you can then have them go in any direction you need.
Create new leader where you want to place it, end it at the second point (typically the elbow is the point i’m referring to) of your existing leader, delete the text content in the new leader text box, press enter then press escape. It should show your new leader without any text.
