Hi, referring to an old question, sorry, couldnât find a more recent thread.
I have a warehouse component with dynamic attributes (Panduit S-Type Cabinet) that is exhibiting this behaviour i.e. will only position on the XY plane.
Was able to import it and position directly on a plane as per your advice, and was then able to un-glue it, however the behaviour remains the same.
The shape has custom dynamic options, clicking on âDynamic Componentsâ only shows a âComponent Optionsâ menu, no Attribute option, hence no reference to X,Y,Z values, etc.
Appreciate any thoughts.

The author of the component made the Z value fixed in the dynamic component. You could edit it although that requires SketchUp Pro.
