I am using an extension to upload .sld files into Sketchup. I need to be able to edit these parts I upload into Sketchup (change a diameter/a thickness etc.) Once the part is uploaded into Sketchup using the converter, how do I change features on the part I upload? It seems these “components” don’t want to be edited, only scaled.

Have you tried opening the components for editing to make the changes?
how do I do that? I’m right-clicking → edit component but it still seems to want to keep all the dimensions fixed
Maybe it’s a nested component? Too many variables to tell you exactly without a lot of guessing. How about sharing an example component SketchUp file so we can cut to the chase?
