I was in the middle of importing a warehouse item into my model when all of a sudden my model disappeared. I will attach a screenshot of what I see. Both the SKP and SKB files show the same thing. I’ve tried zooming or repositioning but nothing is moving. I can tell the program is sort of lagging when I try to do anything. I’ve tried purging unused items but it does nothing.
Most likely the thing you inserted from the 3D Warehouse is huge or is located at a huge distance from the origin. Select that object in Outliner and delete it. Then hit Zoom Extents.
If you really need that thing from the 3D Warehouse, download it into a separate SketchUp file and deal with whatever it needs to make it usable in your model. Then copy it and paste it into your project file.
I would guess that the thing the OP last imported is geolocated. The sink seems to be on the same continent as the rest of the model. Edit: The sink at the origin and the group that contains the elevations both have stray geometry far from the origin.
I found that the patio furniture was also a huge problem. Once I deleted that object the model started to behave much better.
In addition, I did my usual cleanup. I fixed incorrect tag usage, purged unused stuff (several times), and reduced the size of some ridiculously large textures. Probably all of those wire textures could be consolidated into one.
The cleanup I did reduced the file size by nearly half and makes things work more smoothly. There’s still some excessively large entourage components that could stand to be replaced with simpler ones.
If you instend to do any renders from the model you should also fix the reversed faces. Change the face style to Monochrome (View menu) so you can see the incorrectly oriented faces.
