My Measurements Label and Measurements Value along with the Default tray keep vanishing… I have to resent them almost every time i start sketchup 2025. Is there a setting i am missing?
This just happened to me.
My drawings no longer load with the default tray - have to open a new one every time. same with the measurement value and the measurement label - I can click on them, but they don’t automatically load in ANY of my drawings, close the drawing, those things close as well.
Also - don’t know how to embed the default tray - I don’t want it floating above the drawing, want it back ‘in” the drawing as usual.

For this queastion:
Drag the tray with its title bar toward the center of the model space. There should be four arrows that show, drag the tray ovedr the arrow that points in the direction you want it anchored.
For docking the tray in the default location you can also just double click on its title bar.
As for having to reset the tray every time you open SketchUp, this is typically due to Windows not granting sufficient permissions to SketchUp so that it can write the appropriate file saving the state of the tray. That’s usually due to incorrect installation. Repair the installation and see if that fixes it.
Close SketchUp, go into User/AppData/Local/SketchUp/SketchUp 2025/SketchUp and delete PrivatePreferences.json. Find the downloaded installer. Right click on it, choose Run as administrator and when prompted choose Repair. Then do a cold reboot of your computer and see what you see.
BTW, the tray display has nothing to do with your model files.
