Hello SketchUp Community,
I’m encountering a memory error while trying to install the free version of SketchUp on my Windows 7 system. I’m hoping someone might be able to help me troubleshoot this issue.
System Details:
- Operating System: Windows 7 (64-bit)
- Memory Module: HYNIX HMA84GR7DJR4N-XN (32GB DDR4 ECC RDIMM)
- Processor: [Specify your CPU model here]
The installation fails right after this error appears, and I’m unable to complete the setup. I’ve ensured that there is sufficient storage space on my hard drive, and I don’t have any other intensive applications running during installation. My system handles other applications and tasks well, so I’m unsure why this issue only appears with SketchUp.
What I’ve Tried:
- Checking System Requirements: My system meets the stated requirements for SketchUp.
- Running a Memory Test: I ran Windows Memory Diagnostic, and it showed no errors with my RAM.
- Reinstalling the Installer: I’ve re-downloaded the SketchUp installer, thinking it might be a corrupted download, but the issue persists.
Questions:
- Has anyone else experienced memory-related issues with SketchUp on Windows 7, particularly with ECC RAM?
- Are there any specific settings I should adjust in Windows 7 or the BIOS for SketchUp to work with my HYNIX HMA84GR7DJR4N-XN memory module?
- Could there be compatibility issues with this RAM and SketchUp, and if so, any suggested fixes?
Any suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance!
