Materials folder populated with non-materials lists

Hi. My materials drop-down menu is populated with ghost lists like ‘Caches’ and other folder names I have on my computer. The ‘Remove’ feature doesn’t eliminate the lists permanently.

How can I get rid of the lists that aren’t really materials lists?

Thank you!

Bernadette

There was a long discussion about this recently. It might not have been in the forum, but the outcome was that the Materials folder path had been changed to something else. I think in your case it’s set to /Library.

Go into Preferences, Files, and look at Materials. Click on the pencil icon, and in the file dialog that appear type Command-Shift-G. Paste in this text:

~/Library/Application Support/SketchUp 2020/SketchUp/Materials

That should set the materials back to the right path.

Thank you - all’s well again - really appreciate it!
