how can textures I downloaded from sketchufication disappear even off my applications folder??
Hard to say with so little information provided. Where did you save them to when you downloaded the files? Is the zip file missing, too?
I have a clear answer: they were deleted!

I saved materials from sketchufication in my applications folder; then
restarted (at the time), and they were in my materials as textures. Now
they have disappeared everywhere, except materials that were placed in
models. Why would they disappear? because I got a new computer ?
everything else migrated, but do those application folder textures have to
be manually moved over?? plugins didnt disappear, weld, simplify contours
etc etc

Maybe there’s a clue. That’s not the right location to save the materials. the should be in User/Library/Application Support/SketchUp 20xx/SketchUp/Materials.
You shouldn’t be putting anything into the Applications folder.

With the delete key. They still come with those nowadays?

Sketchufication has a plugin, that’s called Sketchufication Plugin Store. This Sketchufication plugin store allows for migration of extensions based on a Sketchufication user account.
Maybe you should ask for a feature request at Sketchufication so that they migrate textures too.
While you’re at it, maybe you should ask about components and styles too.
Materials, Components and Styles all can be organized in Libraries and therefore we all might benefit from a “Sketchufication Migrate Everything And Not Only Plugins Store” plugin.
My idea is for it to be called SMEANOPS plugin. What do you guys think? Easier would be to backup the important data on your disk if you want to change computers.
Anyway, the guys at Sketchufication are very cool. If you lost the files for good and cannot retrieve them, but can confirm a purchase, they will surely send you the files again.
