Make the first component required huge time

I have this problem with SU 2017 pro. Every time I make the first component in a model this operation require a huge time. Many minutes!!

Obviously it should not take that long…

One thought… when you installed SketchUp did you do it the correct way ?

Close SketchUp.
Find the SketchUp installer’s exe file icon [probably in your Downloads folder].
Select the icon, right-click > context-menu > “Run as administrator”
When prompted choose ‘Repair’…

This should set things up correctly.

Up until yesterday SketchUp Pro 2017 was working wonderfully, now it still works great with the exception of one thing: It is impossible to triple-click or double-click select because it takes about 30 seconds for the selection tool to work and highlight the object. It freezes until then. Absolutely every other function works perfectly, it just takes half a minute to select/deselect anything. A group, a face, a line, anything. The problem is only with a big model. Every time I make the very first component in this model this operation require a very huge time. I would like attach the file in order to let you to check it but the file is big (more than 3072kb) and I cannot upload it here. If I delete a lot of objects and the is small to make components is easy. No other user as such problem with a file?

I had some components with only edges, I changed it adding some surface
too. Also I have purge with a plug in the model. The purge command of SU
didn’t help. Now to create the very fist component I need 2 minutes waiting.
I think is a geometry problem.
