Mac M1 Parallels Windows 10 Sketchup error Hardware acceleration is unsupported

,

I have a sketchup extension that will only run on Windows OS, so I downloaded the parallels beta and the windows 10 beta and all seems ok. I then try to install sketchup and get the following error.

Any help would be appreciated.

The following errors were found when launching SketchUp:

  • Hardware acceleration is unsupported or has been disabled on your graphics card. SketchUp requires that you use a hardware accelerated graphics card.

Unfortunately, these errors will prevent SketchUp from running.

See this Help Center article for more information.

That sounds like a limitation of the graphics drivers Parallels has so far implemented in that beta. SketchUp 2021 installs and runs fine on Parallels for Catalina, but maybe they haven’t yet figured out how to handle OpenGL for the M1 graphics and Big Sur?
