Hardware acceleration is unsupported or has been disabled on your graphics card

Hi,

Lately when I’m using sketchup it crashes in the middle of a session and has the error ‘Hardware acceleration is unsupported or has been disabled on your graphics card. SketchUp requires that you use a hardware accelerated graphics card.’ when I try to open it back up. I have updated my drivers and everything else I can think of and I’m unsure of what the issue is. Previously I was using my intel graphics card(which was fine for a few months) I changed to my nvidia card but still the same issue. I’ve run the Sketchup Checkup and these are the results. As I mentioned I am not using the intel card but it still suggests I am. To get it to work again I have to restart my computer. If anyone would help that would be great as I have a deadline for university fairly soon and need sketchup to complete my work.

Check again that both your Intel and Nvidia drivers are up to date (from the Intel and Nvidia websites, respectively). Then, in the Nvidia control panel (right-click on your desktop) 3D application settings check that SketchUp is set to use your Nvidia card.

I tried this and still the same issue persists
