Live Component - Adding a Material NOT in the Selection Menu

I have downloaded a live cabinet component and want to add a material not in the Configure menu. Is there a better way than exploding all the groups?

I would appreciate some help from Sketchup on this topic. If you cannot use a material outside the very short list provided by the author, i would say that using live components is not worth the trouble.

Materials are treated as any other parameter, so authors/designers must specify them. If you can’t find one you like, or it is not an option, you can bring the component into SketchUp, Right click > ‘Detach definition’ and assign materials the old fashioned SketchUp way.

Materials-as-parameters are on the roadmap.

For now, Material switching via a dropdown can be authored in Creator.
Or users can simply turn the Live Component into a regular one, and apply SketchUp materials directly.
