Lining up textures

I have had this problem before but thought I had cracked it. Seemingly not.

I am attaching a model with a wall group and a floor group where I want the cladding texture to be seamless between the two.

I have tried using the texture manipulator to set the same origin point. That worked on one side but not on others. This was previously my go to method.

I tried using Eneroth’s Line Up Axes. Made no difference.

Can anyone suggest what I can do?

Sample one and paint the other.

Ha! yes, that works for the extracted groups I sent. But if I try it on the complete model it was copied from, it doesn’t. Curiouser and curiouser.

I have solved my immediate problem by deleting the offending groups in the original and substituting the edited one in the test. So I guess that’s a workaround. But it’s surely not an approved method.
