Hi all, hope this finds you well. I was happily drawing lines on my Sketchup for Web model, then the tools stopped working. I can still select lines and faces. If I save and refresh the page it works again, but only for a minute or so. Nothing is un/tagged or hidden and style settings. seem fine. I’m using a new and up to date MacBook, but have tried Safari, Chrome, different mice/trackpads and get the same results… Has anyone had the same issue? Grateful for any advice please!
Does the problem start in the middle of doing some drawing, or when you have switched to other applications and back again? If it’s when you are switching, how are you getting to and from other applications?
If the problem starts, try left-clicking on another application, then left-click back on the browser window to get back into the model.
Hi Colin, thanks for your quick reply. I’ve played some more and the tools do work so long as I stay in Sketchup. You’re right - it seems to be fine when I switch to other apps using the menu bar. The problem comes when I use F3/mission control to swap more quickly… I use that a lot(!) so might have to learn not to, unless there’s a fix.
What are the key presses you do to return to the SketchUp window? Like, you’re in another application, tap F3, do you then click on the SketchUp window? Were you in the middle of drawing lines, and now they don’t appear?
What browser do you use?
That’s right. I tap F3 then click on another application window and vice versa to return. If I do this before drawing any lines, they won’t draw. Similarly, if I’m in the middle of drawing lines then do this, they stop drawing.
I’m using Safari, but I tried it on Chrome also and the same happens.
