It would appear that the new licence server is down for maintenance; what are we supposed to do ?
I am able to sign in and out of SketchUp, but yes the Trimble Account Portal is undergoing maintenance. Will just need to wait until it is done, I suppose.
Yes, but what about when it doesn’t work and one needs to reset the number of licences in order to work ! Waiting with no indication of a time-frame is a bit like a suburban train in the UK.. you’ll get one, but perhaps not today.

I have had the exact same problem or even worse as 3/4 of my students were unable to log in. I can’t even reach the admin site were I distribute the students licenes.
It says exactly what you describe;
“Sorry we are down for maintance”
Appears when trying to reach the site were I distribute the users.
Strangely it does not say a thing about it on Server status (were it Should state if it is some problem)
“All systems operational”
I looked for planed maintance, but nothing there either.
Yesterday someone posted the same screenshot of the Down for Maintenance message. For them, deleting login_session.dat and then signing in again took care of it.

is that in a sketchUp temp folder?
Copy: %AppData%/SketchUp/SketchUp 2025/ and paste it into File Explorer. The file will be visible there.
I have seen internal messages about there being maintenance on the servers. It looks like several people are involved in getting it live again.

yeah, tried this, but it still wanted to go “sign in”….
You would have to sign in again after deleting that .dat file. I was only relaying what worked for a user who had the exact same server down message yesterday.
I was just able to sign into the Account Portal. Try it now.

But in future Trimble needs to give a timeframe when they shutdown for maintenance !
I feel for anyone who couldn’t work all day because of this….
They usually do. This may have been an unanticipated outage. Those do happen sometimes.
The accounts page is supposed to be live again, but for my own case it is showing some errors. That is being looked into.
Yeah I had error messages, but fought on through and got to where I needed to go ![]()
It’s such a pity that this great software can’t work without an internet connection.
