Hello there,
When resizing a viewport in LayOut, the shading and textures disappear. Is this a bug? I did complete the most recent upgrade. I’m baffled. (My layout won’t seem to upload either.)
I’ve never heard of this before. Can you share a LayOut file that shows this?
Not sure how to do that. I’ve been trying to upload it here and it just stops at 47%. Anyway, I went back to the model, exploded the group of geometry that was giving me trouble in layout, saved the model, then updated the model reference in layout again and VOILA!!! The textures and shading came back. I’m going to try and see if I can change the scale without losing texture again.

No, it is after. However, I have not yet updated all of the details yet. So you will see what I mean in Details 1, 2, 5, 6, 7 & 8. Details 3 & 4 fixed themselves.

Well, one problem is all those viewports for Details 1, 2, 5, 6, 7 & 8 show the scenes have been modified in LayOut while 3 & 4 have not been modified in LayOut. We’ve talked about this business of modifying scenes in LO and how that can create problems.
Ah! I am working from someone else’s start. I also see that the details are also from a different scene and not actually a scaled up version of the viewport it refers to. Ugh!! Ok.
It kind of looks like they’ve created a bunch of work for you.
LOL…they sure did. It’s okay. I am making new scaled up details right now and the textures remained, so I’m happy.

One thing you might consider doing before you go much farther is purging unused stuff from the SketchUp model.

Good idea! There are 11 models attached to this layout I think.
Purge every one of them, then.
