Layout - Raster viewport too blurry, even at "High" setting - how to fix?

Viewport looks terrible in Layout; even changing the Viewport settings to High only improved it 10% or so.

Is there a way to make this more crisp? Enough that I could connect light plan lines and add dimensions?

Yes, I can change it to Vector, but that instantly slows down Layout to a crawl…

I do something similar with my electrical plans. The way I keep it somewhat speedy is to place all the symbols on a single tag and create a scene with only that tag on, then create another scene with everything else I need for the background on with the symbols tag turned off.

In Layout I then stack two model views, the lower one will be the background rendered as raster, the foreground model view will be the symbols rendered as vector. These tends to render fast enough for my purposes.

Hope that helps.

Are you still using 2022?

In 2024 there is draft mode – that might be helpful working in vector…?

Just updated my profile to reflect 2024.

I’ll try Draft mode…

Have you tried this option?

The experimental graphics engine may shift/distort native Layout objects a little but – as I understand it – if you export to PDF whilst enabled it exports as it would without the experimental engine on.

That’s a very viable approach, I’ll try it out. Thank you!
