Layout loses reference when coping window viewport to the next page

I am using Sketchup 2026 Mac

I have a model in sketchup that I have sent to my Layout template. It is mounted to my first page ok, I can see in Layout that sketchup model window has the scene referenced.

When I copy the viewport and go to next page in Layout and past the copy, the viewport image is larger and it is not reference in the sketckup model scene. I tried to relink the the scene to the model but does nothing.

How to fix, any idea why this happens?

What happens if you duplicate the page instead of copy / pasting the viewport?

Hey thanks that seems to have worked.

I usually just copy the viewport to the next page and change the scene…so did not think about coping the whole page. Brilliant.

IIRC this has to do with very large SKP models - something about how the copy/paste is handled.

You should probably answer / respond in your other thread so we can help you with the heavy model… that seems overly detailed but it depends on what you need to do with it.
