Layout editing autotext fonts

Hey All,
I’m trying to produce a title block for a drawing. I’m following a tutorial thats shown me to use the Autotext function rather than write each line individually.
The trouble is I can figure out how to adjust the text stye as you can’t seem to do this in the document setup box. However when I’m selecting the text directly on the page it only shows the link word(s) and not the actual text. How do I edit text?

edit the link word itself.

let’s say you have set <author> to type bobby instead.

then, in your layout file, you’ll type stuff like this document has been drafted by <author> and it’ll replace it by bobby.

if you select the <author> bit you can change its font, size or colour. it’ll still be replaced by bobby, just now it’ll look different.

so in short, you style the actual text block. layout will then replace autotext as needed.

now I change it to bobby :

content and style are not directly linked.

Ok thanks Pal much appreciated. I’ll get to it. WOuld you know how to change the date settings to UK (07/03/2025) as opposed to the American default (03/07/2025)?

Edit the Date Format field…

Cheers yes figured that out as soon as I sent that😆
