I too am having the same problem. Layout just stopped opening today. I use it daily for my work. Tried reinstalling multiple times. Have no idea what to do. This is a very serious problem! Using macOS Sonoma 14.4.1
After posting my previous message, I noticed the link suggested by @nickralbovsky. The steps it outlines appear to have solved my issues, at least for the moment.
