Every time I try to launch layout it crashes and I get BugSplat Crash #33497. Does anyone know why this is and how to fix it. I’ve removed and reinstalled Sketch Up Pro but there’s no change.
Thanks
I’m not very good at reading bugsplats in general, and especially not LayOut ones. @Adam may make more sense of it.
BTW, it’s 10pm for Adam, he may not see this for about 10 hours.
While we are waiting for Adam to wake up this morning, you could try going to the Nvidia website and downloading and installing the latest update to your graphics card driver. Display driver problems are perhaps the #1 reason for crashes.
Thank you, I have tried this but still no change unfortunately
Hi @Amy3,
From what I can tell, you have a recent file that is causing the crash. The welcome window is attempting to open one of your recent files to display the thumbnail, but is crashing in the process of unzipping the file.
You can try editing your layout.private.json file to remove your recent files list. Look for “MRU_LIST” and clear out that section.
Hope that helps,
Adam
In File Explorer you can paste this into the path field, to immediately edit the layout.private.json file:
%LocalAppData%\SketchUp\SketchUp 2022\LayOut\layout.private.json
