im having issues with layout. scenes keep giving me a grey background. I have to manually change the background colour.
There used to be a Clea background in the “wireframe” style. anyone else experience this issue?

Share the LO file so we can see what you’ve got. Most likely you need to edit the style for the scenes in the SketchUp model but it’s hard to say for sure without seeing your file.
What operating system and graphics card are you using? “0” is not an appropriate answer for that. Please correct your forum profile.
Scene issue.skp (8.5 MB)
here it is.
im using a 2021 MacBook Pro. I believe operating system is just Mac OS, graphics card is m1?
That’s not the LayOut file. Share that, too.
Put the operating system version and graphics card information in your forum profile.
All of the styles in your SketchUp model have a gray background color.
Edit them to make them white and make sure to update the styles after editing.. Also turn off the Background for each viewport in the LO file.
i deleted the layout file. I can start a new one.
can I save a style if its one I like?
By the way, you should be using tags for visibility control, not Hide. And make a scene for each elevation you need to show.
how do I just turn the background off? I see a background tab, but it doesnt seem to do it
thank you. ill try that. I haven’t looked into that before
Click on the swatch to the right of the word Background and edit the color to white. After editing the style click on the thumbnail to update it.
Sounds like you should take some time to go through the tutorials at learn.sketchup.com
In layout you can remove the background, go to the sketchup model tray, then go to styles and at the bottom there is a box that says remove background.
