Now that I’m migrating to daily work to 2025, I’m not getting the dimension tool to work. All I get is an empty text box. I can type notes with the note tool, and over ride the dimension text with arbitrary text, so the font isn’t the problem. What’s the autotext for dimension supposed to be? Just “<>” or something more?
One update: Works for new blank document, but broken on a file that was created with LO 2024.
Can you share the file (privately if you want)? I wonder if it’ll be different on a different machine.
As for the auto text bit, it should be just as you show.
Yup, that’s what it looks like. If I hit the right arrow and then type “Text” after those marks, that text appears, but no number. Also, if I copy the viewport to a new black document, it works exactly as expected. It’s something about this file originally created in 2024, opened in 2025 and Saved As a 2025 file.
It would be helpful to see if the same thing happens in that file on another machine.
I haven’t seen that happen with any of my older files opened in SU2025.
