Layout 2022 Not responding freezing when i switch from raster to vector or hybrid render.
Not Responding means that LayOut is busy trying to render your model. Hard to tell from your screen shot but I expect there’s a lot of edges to be rendered and your Intel graphics card is probably struggling.
Upload the LayOut file. Let’s see if we can make it easier and quicker to render.
I think could be the graphics card, but I have made several projects in layout 2021 without a problem, but maybe could be a wc model from warehouse. I will delete it and see what happens. Thanks.
Probably a combination of your graphics card and some excessive geometry in a component or components from the 3DWH.
what was the outcome? Looks like a very simple drawing to me. I’m having same problems, be it much more complex drawing. On M2 Mac Studio Pro
Can you share your layout file to check what could be causing this?
I am having the same problem
Need to change all my viewports to vector
I need help please
Im having a jury in a few days
The most common reason is that your model is not simple enough to use Vector rendering. Models with millions of edges and faces do nor work well with it. Why do you need Vector? Raster rendering with High quality output ought to be enough. Are your printed pages going to be viewed with a microscope?
Maybe is the specs of your computer, you need to choose in viewport raster option, because the model is too big, for example, if you import a car, is too big to handle for some computers, and you need to use raster option.
Or in Sketchup (not Lay out) hide the model that is causing your problem, and then open layout.
Hello Dave, I have a GEFORCE RTX Studio and i am experiencing what is being discussed here. is it likely to be my graphics card?
Maybe. Could be something else. Seeing the LayOut file would help diagnose the problem. Keep in mind “Not Responding” doesn’t really mean LayOut is freezing. It means that LayOut is busy doing something. Are you still using SketchUp/LayOut 2023 as your profile indicates.
Most probably it is your bloated model. Models with, say, a million entities (edges and faces) are not suitable for Vector or Hybrid rendering.
I just changed back to Raster and the problem has gone away. I is hard however to dimension something this fuzzy though. Should have said i am laying out 2d shop drawings so I often need to dimension things up is why i convert to Vector.
Thanks guys.
If you want us to try to help you, share the LayOut file so we can see what you are working with.
ok. The file is larger than 16mb. how am I best to send that?
Upload it to DropBox or We Transfer and share the link.
