I’ve seen many posts with this exact same issue, but for the life of me I cannot figure out why my subscription isn’t being recognized. I just purchased it in the last hour. Here’s what I’ve tried so far:
I’ve logged in and out on the browser many times
I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled SketchUp for Mac 2025
I’ve removed myself as the license holder (yes, I made sure I assigned myself the license) and added myself back in. Logged out, then back in
I confirmed that the email I used to purchase the subscription is the same as the email I used to assign myself the license
thank you for replying so quickly, i’m super incredibly frustrated over here! it took me 24 hrs to even just purchase the subscription because of a very weird bug that prevented me from checking out; had to reach out to support via email and submit a log of my browser console for them to troubleshoot. and now, this. just venting - but it really, really, really should not be this difficult for new customers to get up and running. i’m astounded.
I wish this was more pronounced in the offerings. It says “iPad and web” included, but because I was already under the impression that SketchUp subscriptions include desktop, I interpreted that bullet point as an “extra.” My feedback to whoever designs the product and billing pages is to make this abundantly clear, because a lot of us start on desktop and don’t assume that Trimble even offers a subscription tier that doesn’t include desktop.
It wasn’t to me, because “desktop 3d modeler” didn’t sound like the entire desktop software to me, it sounded like an extra feature of some sort.
for someone unacquainted with the terminology their use for their offerings, and unfamiliar with the fact that Trimble has split SketchUp into web/iPad/desktop experiences, this terminology just didn’t resonate with me. I came in assuming desktop was the fundamental offering and all else was extra - clearly I was wrong.
I guess you’ve got it figured out now but for others who might come along with the same question, scrolling down the page will show a perhaps more clear feature comparison between the different subscription levels.
