Isometric view options

It’s a real shame that you removed the ability to change the orientation of 3D views in Layout viewports. Could you at least add the option to select different orientations for isometric view? Thanks

you can edit into any Layout viewport and rotate the model. Its perspective not true Isometric. Hint turn Ortho off in the Sketchup Model Panel/camera of Layout before rotating. FYI there is still an ISO option under the standard views

Do you not see this menu?:

If you mean that you can’t orbit when editing a viewport, try right-click, and switch to Orbit:

Sorry guys, and thanks for your help. For some reason, «Allow 3D Model modification» was turned off in my Layout settings! Now the Camera Tools contextual menu is back, and with it the ability to double-clic a viewport to modify the view angle

So, let me change my Feature Request: Please add 3 alternate Isometric Views in the Standard View menu. It’s a PITA to do correctly it via with the Orbit tool. (In Sketchup you can orbit then set the isometric view from 4 different corners). Thank you

The recommended SketchUp to LayOut workflow is to create your views in SketchUp, save them in the model as Scenes and then make your LayOut model viewports reference those scenes. You will avoid many troubles when updating the model later.

Make scenes in SKP. Choose them in LO.

Yes, that’s a PITA as well. 4 presets would be nice: front right, front left, back right, back left.

Fixing viewports after the camera positions have been accidentally reset in LayOut is a bigger PITA. Especially if you’ve added labels or dimensions attached to the model.
