Installing SketchUp 2025

Hello everyone!

Win 10, no antivirus, Windows Defender disabled. When trying to run the SketchUp-2025-0-660-288.exe on-line installation file with administrator rights, I get the message “Failed to extract the file when placing. The file is missing from the stream or could not be written to the destination computer. File: SketchUp\SketchUp 2025.msi”

An attempt to run the file for off-line installation (with administrator rights) ends in nothing. The system ignores the command without indicating errors.

I tried all the options that came to my mind. I really count on your help.

Reboot your system to clear out the memory, …
and try to rerun the offline installer via right-click “Run as administrator”.

Is this on some kind of virtual environment?
How much hard drive space do you have on your C drive?

Everything is simple, like everything ingenious. Indeed, there was not enough space on the C drive, although the installation was on the F drive.
