Installation Issues {Wizard was interrupted} SOS!


PLEASE help i seem to be stuck on this

The screenshot doesn’t really tell us what is actually happening. My guess is that your computer is blocking the installer from downloading its missing pieces from the Trimble and Microsoft sites.

Why are you installing v.2024 when v.2025 has been released?

I would suggest that you download the “offline” installer. Then Right-click on it and select the “Run as administrator” option.

just ran the installer ,did a bit of installation ,then cut right off and then displayed the WIZARD issue again.i appreciate the assistance,thank you.

I would guess that you have an antivirus or piece of security software that is removing files (or maybe quarantining them) as the installer runs.

Try temporarily disabling them before you run the installer

thank you Adam,all antivirus or security are either uninstalled or disabled,still i’m left with this situation. Also if i may add,tried installing a lower version too,the issue is applicable to that too

:thinking: If you have already installed e.g. SU2024, or SU2025 go to Control Panel>Programs>Programs and Features, and try to uninstall it from there. Restart your computer and try again with offline installer (right-click on it and select the “Run as administrator” option).

Thank you for your assistance. However, I regret to inform you that I didn’t have SketchUp installed on my system, even at the time I asked the previous questions.

Did you tried to restart the computer?
What kind of processor you have?
Do you have an InstallShield.log file in a same folder where your Sketchup installer file is located? Can you share?

I see several attempt to install and uninstall in the file…

Do you have a folder c:\Program Files\SketchUp\SketchUp 2024. If yes delete that folder, restart your computer and try installing again.

Or restart your computer and try to install SU2025.

I really appreciate the effort you’ve put into addressing my issue, and I’m excited to move forward with a new approach.

Mr.Dezmo, i have checked ,i have no sketchup folder. i dont know whats wrong with this pc

may be a silly question but how much free space do you have on the drive you’re trying to install sketchup ? and on your OS drive ? installation files have to go through your C drive temp files, if it’s almost full it may prevent from installing

ive got 1Tb and 405Gb left

Are you on a corporate network or is this a home network? Also where did you get the link for the download?

well for the longest i was on a home wifi,but for almost 2 to 3hrs now ive been on my mobile network
