Installing Fredoscale

Hello, I am trying to install the Fredoscale plugin on sketchucation but I receive the following message: “This file does not have an app associated with it for performing this action. Please install an app or, if one is already installed, create an association in the default apps setting page”

I have installed the lasted version of libfredo6, which is required, so I don’t know what the problem is.

The file path I have libfredo6 installed in is C:\Users\jonat\Desktop\sketchup apps. Should I have put it in my c drive?

You need to do a bit of homework on how to install extensions…

Extensions downloaded from SketchUcation [& the EWH] arrive on your computer as RBZ files.
You save these somewhere logical - typically your Downloads folder.
Do not try to open it.
Next you need to install the RBZ…
In SketchUp open the Window > Extension Manager dialog.
There’s a red-button ‘Install Extension…’.
Click that and navigate to the RBZ file and OK…
Then it’s auto-installed for you.
Some complex extensions [like Fredo’s] need a supporting Lib installing as well.
So ensure that both RBZ files are installed.
To ensure the installed Lib is properly synced you must restart SketchUp…

All should be good now…
