Flux Architect- font not working in Layout

Flux Architect Font Stopped Working in Layout

I have been using Flux Architect as my font for submittal drawings in Layout since January. This past week, when I start typing text on my Layout drawing, all that shows up are a series of boxes. Once I click out of the text window, the text is readable / normal. If I click to go back in and edit the text, it is boxes again. Any thoughts?

Layout: Font shows up as boxes when editing

Quick Q: I’m using a font that shows up as boxes when editing in Layout. Once I’m done editing, it shows up fine. I know it’s some sort of font compatibility issue, but couldn’t seem to find the way to fix it within layout. Any suggestions or do I need to go find a new font? My workaround has been to type in notepad, then copy/paste the text into layout. Certainly not ideal! Thanks all! -Mike

Font sizes for architectural drawings

I normally print my house plans in Layout on ARCH D size (24"x36") at 1/4" scale. Sometimes, due to the size of the home, I have to use 3/16" scale. When deciding on the proper text (point) size for dimensions and annotations, I have used a hit-and-miss approach. Sometimes the text looks appropriately sized on the computer, but when the plan is printed, they are pretty small (almost too small in my opinion).
