Hi, everyone. I have a drawing of a simple object in Inkscape (SVG file) and converted it to DXF format. So I can import it into Sketchup, but it is always displayed as a single object (in blue lines) and cannot be selected, so it cannot be exploded nor edited in any way. What am I missing? (I’ve also tried DWG and 3DS formats without success.) Also, the object would be easy enough to trace if I can’t edit it directly, but it imports at a very tiny scale and can’t be enlanged.

What version of SketchUp are you using? Your profile indicates Free (web) and 2017 Make. Neither of those can import .dwg or .dxf files.
In SketchUp Pro or Shop an imported file comes in as a component. The default color for selected entities is blue. You can edit the component and create the faces.
