I am trying to import a simple outline file from Illustrator. It imports OK as a dwg or dxf, but when I try too use the push/pull tool it won’t let me extrude it. I have tried "edit component: I am using Make which includes a free trial of Pro .

It may have been imported as a component instance or group.
If you want it to be primitives and it’s nested components, select it, right-click the mouse and choose Explode from the popup menu.
If you want to keep it grouped or as a component instance, then double-click it to enter into it’s editing context.
is it a face or just the outline?
