Hi,
I am receiving the same error and cannot find what the issue is when trying to import my .DWG file into Sketchup Pro.
Warning:
Some imported geometry is extremely far from the
model origin. If you experience any instability with
your SketchUp model, please delete that geometry
from your .dwg/.dxf file and import again.

SketchUp is warning you that some geometry is at a great distance from the origin. That’s not an error with the import, it’s an error in the creation of the .dwg file. There are indeed 8 edges at a huge distance from the rest of the model which means the model extents are so large you can’t see the main model. Here’s what’s left after deleting those eight edges
Here’s the .skp file. I have no idea what the scale should be so I imported with units set to meters. You can resize as needed.

How do you see these 8 edges? When I import there appears to be nothing to select.
I opened Outliner and selected the components shown there. Then I used Invert Selection. Entity Info showed there were eight edges selected. I pressed Delete to get rid of them and Zoom Extents brought the rest of the model into view.
