I’m looking for an extension that will attach (without merging) one flat surface (of say one cube) to a flat surface (of say another cube).

Recent versions of SketchUp have native Snaps that allow components to snap together.
If you are still on Make 2017, you will need to use a snap extension:
Hi Dan, thanks for making the time and effort to reply.
I’m now working with 2025.
And not smart enough to understand what is happening when I try to use it.
The Snap Tool in 2025 is different than earlier versions.
So the Youtube vids and documentation doesn’t help enough for me to figure it out.
I’m still looking tho.
Different how?
Open the group/component for editing, right click > Add Snaps, double click to put the snap. That’s it!
Be more descriptive. We cannot read your mind as to what you want or expect.
Basically the datums (red cross) in both snaps will seek to align. This should cause one of the components to rotate so it is aligned with the other during the snapping operation.
My bad. I should have qualified my original post to include “Only Mindreaders Need Reply”.
Thanks for the replies.
Much appreciated.
