Long-time Sketchup user here. Looking for a way to scale multiple objects (components) simultaneously without moving them. For example, I am laying out organ pipes on a chest grid. I would like to be able to scale the set of pipes down all at the same time to get the next rank, but when I select the entire group and scale them, I have to re-align every pipe back to the grid. VCarve Pro allows scaling down multiple items at the same time by a percentage individually.
By the same token, I often have multiple circles for each pipe in the flat layout (outer diameter, rack diameter, toe size, etc). I’d love a tool where I could copy the group, paste onto the same grid in another group, then resize the same holes to a set dimension without doing every circle individually, which takes forever.
Let me know if there’s anything you all can think of that would help with this. My workaround now is to use VCarve when putting my toolpaths, but I’d like to have this information in the Sketchup drawing also.
