I could use some help with this. I’ve been given a task to recreate this curve (see reference photo) to match the exact dimensions of the project I’m working on (see screenshot 01). Does anyone know the best way to approach this? Would it be possible to achieve using Curviloft?
Thank you very much! That sounds interesting. Did you just outline the green line in the screenshot and then use the plugin? Also, just to confirm, is the plugin you’re referring to SubD.
I created a sphere and then sectioned it, keeping only the slice you see at the beginning. Then with Vertex Tools (or you can use the native Move and Scale tools) I gave it the necessary shape. With SUbD I applied subdivision, to round the shape.
I’m a bit curious (and slightly confused) about how you shaped it to match the reference.
Sorry for asking, but if it’s not too much trouble, would you be able to share a guide or video showing the process from start to finish on how you did this or get this shape.
I already told you what I used… a low poly sphere. But to work with quads and subdivs, you need to study more than a short video of a few seconds. Search on YouTube, there are plenty of tutorials.
Got it! Thanks for the clarification. I really appreciate your insights. I’ll definitely look into more tutorials and study quads and subdivisions further. Thanks again for pointing me in the right direction!
P.S. One last question about this part—after you clicked the outer line, what command did you use to turn it into a sphere? Is it follow me?
