I hope someone can help. All my objects look glued but they are not! I don’t know what to do.
I can move them up and down, back and forth but they are stuck into a specific point. I can drag and even place them, but not exactly where I want to. I don’t know if I explained myself.
How did you check for that?
Not clearly enough. Share the .skp file so we can see what you’ve got.
Also open the components separately and check that they are not geo-located. Not sure if this might be the issue.
None of them look geo-located. I think I should record a video to show this issue
How do I share the file? my skp model is 45 MB, I can’t upload it. Is there another way?
Upload it to Dropbox and share the link.
The way you’ve got your model set up it’s not a surprise. You have Length Snapping enabled and set to an increment of 1 meter. That makes the Move tool snap the moved object in one meter steps.
Turn off Length Snapping in Model Info>Units.
I’d suggest also increasing display precision so you can actually see dimensions and distance of less than 1 meter.
Amazing!!! Thank you so much!!!
How do I increase the display precision exactly?
Increas the number of places to the right of the decimal in the Display Precision drop down. Maybe you want to be working in millimeters or centimeters, too. You could change that.
Ok, perfect! Got it!
Thank you very much. You really helped!!! ![]()
You’re welcome.
BTW, you should create a custom template that has theLength Units and Display Precision set the way you want and Length Snapping turned OFF.
