I am trying to use subtract tool working and don’t know what I did wrong. Here is the link for the file. Please help. Thanks!
The Solid Tools require that both objects (groups/components) be solids first. The larger one is not.

So, how can I change the larger one to solid?
Start by removing the stray edges and exploding the nested groups inside the larger one. There will be some internal faces that need to be dealt with, too.
What version of SketchUp are you actually using? Your profile says 2018 Free (Web) but that is impossible.

You can just explode and delete the edges because the part you want to subtract from is a solid.
