I cannot download the SketchUp Make 2017 version of a model i created with this version

Hello everyone,i wanted to download a 3D model that i made in SketchUp Make 2017 from the website 3D Warehouse but i cannot download the SKP 2017 version of this 3D model.

I still can for most of my model, but strangly, not for this one. its annoy me because i do not keep these models on my computer; i use the 3D Warehouse as online storage system.

Did there is a way to fix this issue? Thanks for reading me, have a nice day.

Your forum profile says you are using SketchUp Make 2016 on Windows 7. Is that still correct? If so, your problem is that ability to download models directly from the 3D Warehouse to such old versions of SketchUp has been discontinued. You can still log onto the 3D Warehouse in a browser, download the model from there, and then try to open it in your SketchUp version.

(Norte: I had no problem loading your model using SketchUp 2026, which is supported by the 3D Warehouse, so the issue is not with your models per-se).

Its a old account, that why those information are not updated, I use sketchup make 2017 on Windows 11.

I download and put online my model in the 3d warehouse website with google chrome because its not possible to use the 3DW from the 2017 desk version of sketchp.

I still can download the model, but when i try to open it, there is a error message saying that its impossible to open on 2017 because this model was made in a latest version of sketchup, with is odd, because, i made it on skp 2017.

When I look at either one of your models in the 3D Warehouse via Chrome there is no option to download a SketchUp 2017 version of them.

Yeah, so, your own models, you can download them as the format you’ve uploaded them. simple.

for the other models, you can either download collada (it imports in SU17), or check S4U save as, a tool to convert files.

Its wreid, because for the second model, and most of my model shared on the 3DW, i can download them in the 2017 version, the second picture i shared is a screenshot from google chrome.

Yes, its supposed to be downloadable as a sketchup 2017 version because i uploaded them with this version, but strangly, its dosent work.

I dont whant to downlad in collada, because IIRC the texture will be gone.

You recall wrongly. The materials are included with the .dae file.

I just tryed, you are rigth,sorry i rarely use the collada fromat.

Maybe I’m doing something wrong because my edges are no longer softened; is there a way to keep the edges softened?
