I can’t copy objects from sketchup file ‘A’ to file ‘B’

I can’t copy objects from sketchup file ‘A’ to file ‘B’. But I can the other way around?! So from file ‘B’ to ‘A’ it does work properly. What causes this issue and is there a fix?

What is the difference between the two files? If the object you copy from file A is 1 GB and the object you copy from file B is 1 KB, then this could be an explanation.

Are you opening both files with the same version of SketchUp?

One file is much bigger than the other one, that’s true (almost 700Mb and 7,2Mb). I’m opening/working in SketchUp2026, for both files. Thanks for the explanation :slight_smile: But what can I do to fix this issue?

Make a copy of file A and import file B into it, then rename it.

Does the 700 MB file really have to be that big or did you put a lot of models in it that you found in the 3D Warehouse?
