I just upgraded from Macbook 13" to 16" screen. Now I downloaded Sketchup 2019 and all my models have pixelated lines instead of the smooth rendering I’m used to. Any advice how to get rid of it? Thanks!
In SketchUp’s preferences, look under OpenGL at the multi-sample anti-aliasing setting. The bigger the numeric value selected, the smaller the “jaggies” caused by the discrete pixels in the display should appear.
That was easy - thanks so much for the help!
HI, I bought a new MAC with M3 MAX chip and have the same issue. (Blocky Lines)
In the preferences there’s no Open GL menu or any visible option to adjust the display resolution.
Does anybody knows how to fix it?
press K
Im referring to the line’s display quality. But I managed to fix it.
Settings>Graphics>Multisample Anti-alising>x4
Then copy model and paste it in a new window.
But Thanks anyway!
This is quite odd. The display on a 16” Mac has such a high resolution that you would struggle to see pixels even with antialiasing disabled.
Try going to you macOS display settings and bumping it up to full resolution. This way you’ll get the most out of sketchup and likely won’t see any pixelation.
yes, OpenGL menu changed its name to Graphics in 2023, probably in advance since they’ve been talking about the post-openGL era for some years now.
well normally if it doesn’t work immediately, you could just close and relaunch the project. stuff like that often works in new windows only.
glad it worked anyway.
