I am not able to use a classic licence for my sketchup

i need to get my Serial number and autorization to install sketchup 2025, i get a life time license far way ago and i canot find a place where are these informations..

hi.

classic licences were for a specific year. say if you bought a classic licence of 2020 then you can use it for 2020.

since 2019 there is a subscription model, and since 2021 there is ONLY a subscription model.

the way it works is you simply log in with your account and it sees if you have an active subscription.

PLEASE REMOVE YOUR SERIAL NUMBER unless you want to give it for free ?

Got u brother. When i bought it really says it was a perpetual license, but tought it was forever updates

it’s perpetual for a specific version. and it seems you were upgraded to the next version. that’s all.

I will send you the license details, and a list of the computers that it is installed on. If you are trying to install onto a new computer, you will need to remove the license from one of the three old computers.

I think the issue is they are expecting a classic license from an earlier version will work with 2025.

It is a perpetual license indeed, in the past you could get updates at a lower cost, but those licenses aren’t sold anymore, you can still use the version you got the serial number with perpetually but it doesn’t have support anymore so tools that require internet connection wont work anymore, you can still access the warehouses from your web browser and add manually the coordinates for geolocation.

If you want to use sketchup 2025 with the new features you must buy a subscription license that will allow you to upgrade without any extra cost to any new version of sketchup as long as your subscription is still valid. Or go the Jack Sparrow way…Jk
