How to place asset after importing from v-ray cosmos on the right axis without rotating ?

Change your model axis first to whatever you want your placement orientation to be. Then place asset.

with evry import of an asset is another axis  so i need to change evry time. this is not a solution

How do you expect SketchUp to know what orientation you want the asset to have when you insert it?

I think I need to see an example to understand better. Got a screen shot or something?

I expect to pres some button and change axis/orientation before placing the asset , so i would’t have to manually rotate after placing it.

You can’t do that. What assets are you placing? Why do they all need to be inserted at different axis?

There are extensions that rotate multiple components along axis automatically. No manual work other than a few clicks to tell what rotation settings you want.

No need to repeat yourself.

Look at SpinUp or Rotate 90Around in the Extension Warehouse.

For example i import painting and i need to place it in a room on three different wall surfaces with different axis

i will check it. thanks

Well that would have been good info to include in your original post. You can try the ‘Glue to’ feature inside of the component. Set it to Any and when you place the component it will automatically rotate to that wall face no matter the axis. It may take some practices to ensure the component axis is in the right place as that’s where it will glue from. Example:

Yes, this will work for already downloaded assets/components.
